These pencils are amazing. This is quality. I’m now hooked on this brand. Beautiful set and variety of colors. Comes in a beautiful box well preserved and undamaged.These are the best soft Pastels money can buy in my opinion. Rich vibrant color, and easy blending makes for beautiful eye opening works of artI am very pleased with these pencils. Good colors and quality. These are on par with any of the other brands I have used, carb othelo, Brunyzeel, Faber castel and others. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to try pastel pencils.I was really looking forward to having these pastels. Derwent usually means high quality. There was only one shade of orange included and the quality was no different than a cheaper brand I had already purchased. I like them and use them, but they are not of the quality I was expecting.I have invested in 3 sets of expensive pastel pencils. These are my go to set.Every artist should have this set.As a Great fan of Derwent products, I finally now have a wooden box set for the very first time, and I must say that the set is very beautiful and terrific. Plus this pencil in pastel form is fabulous, I love them very much. I'm deeply happy and satisfied.????I have purchased several sets of these pastel pencils I have used them, just pastels and mixed with colored pencils. They were an excellent choice for my skill level.I have been eyeing this set of 72 in wooden box for over 2 years, finally decided to buy them. They are better than I imagined with balanced variety of colours (unlike Faber Castell set of 60 pastel pencils which does not have a balanced set of colours, far too many yellows/oranges and not enough blues and greens/landscape colours). I am very pleased with the texture of these, they lay down easily and layer easily, with minimal dust. I like them better than Faber Castell. The colour at the end of the pencil is not the true colour, but each colour is written on the barrel.These are so much more beautiful than pictures can do, the colour range on these are impressive. I've had a small collection of the Derwent pastel pencils for years but wanted a larger range, this was it and in a beautiful wooden box too to keep them safe is an added bonus for me. These pastel pencils are the best out there in my opinion, and are the best to work with.These are ideal for the finer points of pastel drawing. They are soft pastel and the colours are very true, the only problem I have is sharpening them, the black is particularly temperamental! If you're into drawing animals or people this is the pastel pencil for you.Outstanding set of pastel pencils. But don't think I was actually sent the latest set, I had a Macaw on the front, the latest has the Lion. The latest set has some different colours in the set.Got this as a gift for someone just starting to do pastel drawing. They were pleased with the range of colours that were included and also the box it came in seemed to be of decent quality.
